Aquantia AQrate PHYs are low-power, high-performance, multi-speed transceivers. The AQrate AQR109 is a 10 Gbps, 1-port, 3-speed PHY that addresses multiple network connectivity applications and speed requirements. The AQR109 is available in a compact 7 mm x 11 mm flip-chip BGA package and supports both commercial and industrial temperature ranges. The AQR109 is pin-compatible with the AQR107 1-port, 5-speed PHY and the AQR108 1-port, 4-speed PHY.

AQrate technology bridges the bandwidth gap between legacy enterprise cabling infrastructure designed for gigabit data rates and the latest WAN standards, aggregating bandwidth in excess of a single gigabit. AQrate delivers 5 Gbps and 2.5 Gbps network connectivity speeds through 100 m of Cat 5e or Cat 6 cabling, and up to 10 Gbps connectivity over 100 m of Cat 6a cabling.

Broad Support for Industry Standards

The AQR109 is compatible with the NBASE-T Alliance PHY specification, the recently ratified IEEE 802.3bz standard, and the IEEE 802.3an standard. This broad support enables the AQR109 to perform all the physical-layer functions required to implement 2.5GBASE-T, 5GBASE-T, 10GBASE-T, 1000BASE-T, and 100BASE-TX transmission over 100 m of twisted-pair cabling.
