IEEE 802
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802 LAN/MAN Standards Committee develops Local Area Network standards and Metropolitan Area Network standards. The most widely used standards are for the Ethernet family, Token Ring, Wireless LAN, Bridging and Virtual Bridged LANs. An individual Working Group provides the focus for each area. Working Group IEEE 802.3 is responsible for Ethernet based LANs.

Ethernet Alliance
The mission of the Ethernet Alliance is to promote industry awareness, acceptance, and advancement of technology and products based on both existing and emerging IEEE 802 Ethernet standards and their management. The Ethernet Alliance will provide resources to establish and demonstrate multi-vendor interoperability of IEEE 802 Ethernet products and their management.
UNH IOL
The University of New Hampshire Interoperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL) tests networking and data communications products. Since 1988, the laboratory has fostered multi-vendor interoperability while preparing UNH students for careers in the industry. The laboratory has grown steadily into one of the industry's premier independent proving grounds for new technologies.
Aquantia is active in the UNH-IOL 10 Gigabit Ethernet Consortium. It is an industry-supported organization that works in conjunction with its member companies to provide a neutral test environment and industry accepted test methodologies for the purpose of promoting and fostering conformance and interoperability of 10 Gigabit Ethernet devices.
