The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers(IEEE) 802 LAN/MAN Standards Committee develops Local Area Network standards and Metropolitan Area Network standards. The most widely used standards are for the Ethernet family, Token Ring, Wireless LAN, Bridging and Virtual Bridged LANs. An individual Working Group provides the focus for each area. Working Group IEEE 802.3 is responsible for Ethernet based LANs.

Ethernet Alliance

The Ethernet Alliance is a consortium of system and component vendors, industry experts, and university and government professionals who are committed to the continued success and expansion of Ethernet technology.

The mission of the Ethernet Alliance is to promote industry awareness, acceptance, and advancement of technology and products based on both existing and emerging IEEE 802 Ethernet standards and their management.

UNH-IOL

UNH-IOL

The University of New Hampshire Interoperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL) tests networking and data communications products. Since 1988, the laboratory has fostered multi-vendor interoperability while preparing UNH students for careers in the industry. The laboratory has grown steadily into one of the industry's premier independent proving grounds for new technologies.

Aquantia is active in the UNH-IOL 10 Gigabit Ethernet Consortium. It is an industry-supported organization that works in conjunction with its member companies to provide a neutral test environment and industry accepted test methodologies for the purpose of promoting and fostering conformance and interoperability of 10 Gigabit Ethernet devices.

The Green Grid

The Green Grid

The Green Grid is a global consortium of companies dedicated to advancing energy efficiency in data centers and computing ecosystems. The Green Grid does not endorse any vendor-specific products or solutions, and will seek to provide industry-wide recommendations on best practices, metrics and technologies that will improve overall data center energy efficiencies. Membership is open to companies interested in data center operational efficiency at the Contributing or General Member level. General members attend and participate in general meetings of The Green Grid, review proposals for specifications and have access to specifications for test suites and design guidelines and IP licensing. Additional benefits for contributor members include participation and voting rights in committees and working groups.
