Aquantia Announces Multi-Partner SFP+ Live Demo with Tier 1 OEMs at OFC

San Jose, California, March 16, 2017 – Aquantia Corp., pioneer and market leader in high-speed multi-Gig Ethernet connectivity solutions for data centers and enterprise infrastructure, today announced a live demonstration of the high-performance interoperability of Aquantia’s line of SFP+ Multi-Gig modules in collaboration with Tier 1 OEMs at the Optical Fiber Communication (OFC) conference. The demonstrated devices are the key component in seamlessly connecting client machines, servers and Ethernet switches equipped with existing SFP+ slots by plugging in twisted-pair copper-based 2.5, 5 and 10GBASE-T modules. This demonstration, taking place within the Ethernet Alliance booth, is an important milestone toward providing a new dimension of flexibility for network and data center professionals looking to optimize equipment & reduce operating costs. Conference attendees are invited to visit the Ethernet Alliance at OFC Booth location (#3709) in Los Angeles, California from March 21 – 23th, 2017.

SFP+ Line of Products Enabling Connectivity for 2.5G, 5G and 10G BASE-T Networking
The recently announced Aquantia AQS series modules deliver the flexibility and port density well known to the SFP+ form-factor while utilizing the existing twisted-pair copper cabling for network connectivity. These power-optimized solutions enable 10GBASE-T for lengths up to 30 meters and 100 meters for 2.5GBASE-T and 5GBASE-T.

Aquantia’s solutions feature an active rate-adaptation technology that allows users to seamlessly use 2.5G and 5G modules in existing SFP+ slots that were previously considered suitable only for 10G fiber optic or Direct-Attach Copper (DAC) cables — at a superior cost/performance point.
